When the gates creak open and darkness falls across Camelot, the creatures of Scare City come alive. Now we’re searching for a brand-new cast of monsters, maniacs and nightmare fuel to join one of the UK’s most immersive horror attractions for the 2026 season.
This is not your average acting role!
Scare City is an intense live horror experience set across the abandoned Camelot Theme Park in Chorley. Thousands of guests step into our world expecting fear at every turn and it’s our scare actors who bring that nightmare to life. From twisted clowns and deranged prisoners to terrifying creatures lurking in the shadows, we want performers with energy, confidence and the ability to fully lose themselves in character. Whether you’re an experienced scare actor or completely new to horror attractions, if you can commit to the role and love creating unforgettable moments, we want to hear from you.
You’ll become part of an award-winning event known across the UK for its huge sets, cinematic atmosphere and relentless scares. This is your chance to perform inside one of the country’s most iconic abandoned locations and be part of something people will talk about long after Halloween ends.

– People comfortable working outdoors at night in all weather conditions
– Team players who can fully commit to character and atmosphere
– Performers aged 18+
– A passion for horror, Halloween and immersive experiences
– Availability across all or the vast majority of our 2026 event dates
*Due to the scale of the event, rehearsals, costume preparation and character development, we’re looking for cast members who can commit to most of the Scare City season. The more dates you’re available for, the better your chances of being part of the final cast.
CASTING EVENT
– A casting event will take place during the evening of the 7th of July in Chorley.
– Successful applicants will receive full event details after applying.

EVENT STAFF APPLICATIONS
We’re also recruiting event staff to help bring Scare City to life throughout the Halloween season. This is a fast-paced outdoor live event environment and we’re looking for reliable, hard-working individuals who can help deliver an unforgettable guest experience across the season. Applicants must be comfortable working outdoors at night and should be available for all or the vast majority of our event dates throughout the 2026 season.
